This Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy applies to "consumer health data" as defined by the Washington My Health My Data Act (RCW 19.373) and similar laws in other U.S. states, including Nevada (NRS 603A.400 et seq.) and Connecticut. It supplements the MAAGAL Privacy Policy at maagal.love/privacy. "We", "us" and "our" mean MAAGAL™, operated by Noa Shirli Fredman, a sole proprietor in Israel.
The consumer health data we collect is allergies: those you choose to enter in your matching preferences (for example, an allergy to cats or dogs), and allergies you mention in the texts you write about yourself (for example, "allergic to cats" in your bio), which we detect automatically. Telling us is optional, and you can use the Service without it. We do not collect any other health information, and we do not collect biometric data unless identity verification is enabled and you have given your separate consent to it (it is not enabled today).
We use your allergies only to avoid suggesting matches that would conflict with them. We collect and use them only after you have given your consent to sensitive information, on its own screen in the App, before you become open to matching. That screen tells you what we collect, why, and how to withdraw your consent.
Only from you: what you enter in your matching preferences and what you write in your profile texts.
We do not share consumer health data with anyone other than our processor. Your allergies are never shown to other users: if a user suggests a match that would conflict with your allergy, they are told only that the match is not available, without the reason.
We do not sell consumer health data.
You have the right to:
To exercise these rights, use the App's settings, or email privacy@maagal.love from the email address registered to your account, so that we can verify that the request is yours. We will respond within 45 days, which we may extend once by a further 45 days where reasonably necessary, telling you why. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Appeals. If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or writing to privacy@maagal.love with the subject "Health data appeal". We will tell you in writing, within 45 days of receiving your appeal, what we did or did not do and why. If we deny your appeal, we will give you a way to submit a complaint to your state's Attorney General, including its online complaint form where one exists.
No third party collects consumer health data about your online activities over time and across other websites or online services through the Service. If we change this policy materially, we will tell you in the App before the change applies to your consumer health data, and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
